“I grew up playing and working on the Snake River as a young boy, later as a teenager getting to work on some of the last working cattle ranches in Hells Canyon. During this time from the late 60’s thru the seventies, the aluminum jet boat industry here in the LC Valley was evolving. I had the great privilege to meet and get to know many of the early river boat builders, outfitters and river runners that plied the Hells Canyon stretch of the Snake River and the Salmon River. Over the years I owned and operated many boats built by these pioneer builders running up the local rivers here in our area. With 40 years of continuous aluminum jet boat ownership from 16’ outboards to 40’ twins, I have had the privilege of learning all about what makes a good boat work on our shallow rivers with strong currents and rapids to negotiate. My hope, with the acquisition of HCM in 2015, and Phantom Boats in 2016, that we could continue to raise the bar on the great quality boats and reputation these two companies have built over the past years.”
